BOSS PAUL PRAISES COVE PLAYERS AND FANS FOR HELPING US BE THE BEST OF BRITISH, ALONGSIDE LIVERPOOL
COVE Rangers manager Paul Hartley has applauded the players for winning every Ladbrokes League Two game played at Balmoral Stadium so far this season.
Cove have racked up 11 straight victories and the level of that achievement is highlighted by the fact English Premier League leaders Liverpool are the only other senior side in Britain still to drop a point at home.
The Cove boss also paid tribute to our fans, who have done their bit by turning out in huge numbers for every match played at Balmoral Stadium.
Paul, who knows we face a huge challenge keeping that run going when we entertain Edinburgh City this weekend, said: “Everyone, the fans and players, deserve huge credit for us winning all 11 games.
“In the whole of Britain, only ourselves and Liverpool have managed to do that at home so far, which is unbelievable.
“It’s a fantastic achievement for a club new to this level.
“It has all to do with us being fortunate to have the right group of players who are passionate about playing for Cove Rangers and willing to work hard.
“That has been particularly prevalent when we have played at home and had to deal with all sorts of different challenges.
“The big crowds and backing we have received has played a huge part too, we really appreciate the efforts made by our supporters.
“Hopefully the fans will turn out in big numbers, and make themselves heard, again this weekend.
“It would give the players a massive lift for what we know is going to be a very difficult game.”
