GOAL GRABBER JAMIE REWARDED WITH PLACE IN LATEST LADBROKES LEAGUE TWO TEAM OF THE WEEK
JAMIE Masson has become the latest Cove Rangers player to be named in the Ladbrokes League Two team of the week.
Midfielder Jamie has been recognised after scoring twice in our 5-1 victory over Brechin City at Glebe Park.
He follows in the footsteps of skipper Mitch Megginson, left-back Harry Milne and Declan Glass, who was on loan at Balmoral Stadium but has returned to parent club Dundee United, who were also named in League Two teams of the week this term.
The two goals against Brechin brought Jamie’s tally for the season to an impressive 10, although he claimed he doesn’t take as much notice of how many he nets as the club’s leading scorer so far, Mitch, does.
Jamie said: “I’m not like Mitch, keeping track of every goal, I think he’s got them up on his bedroom wall!
“The goals are always a plus for me but the main thing is to keep getting three points, I don’t really set targets.
“I just go out looking to play well and do well for the team.
“As long as we have a good season, that’s all that matters.
“With Edinburgh City winning as well, it’s good for the league that the two of us keep each other going.
“We are both waiting on each other to slip up and it’s good for the two teams to just go for it.
“You need to take every game as it comes and concentrate on yourselves.
