New Stadium

Aberdeen City Council is currently in talks with Highland League side Cove Rangers and the two are working in partnership to build a new football pitch at Calder Park in Nigg. In a report to the property sub-committee, it states: “Provisional agreement has been reached for the club to relocate to Calder Park and enter into a ground lease with the council.” The report adds that the Trustees of Cove Rangers Football Club will be responsible for the day to day operation of the facility with the council, in the form of the new proposed academy, having the right to use the stadium. Developer Scotia Homes has also submitted a proposal of application notice to build between 55 to 65 homes at Allan Park in Cove. The site is the current home to North-east football team Cove Rangers FC.
