REDMAN CHECKS IN AT COVE AS THE CLUB’S FIRST SIGNING OF THE PRE-SEASON
COVE Rangers are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Jamie Redman from Montrose FC on a two year contract.
The 32-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the squad as we look forward to our inaugural season in SPFL League Two.
Jamie won the League Two title with the Gable Endies in season 2017-18 , scoring their goal in the 1-1 draw with Elgin City that clinched the trophy.
Prior to Jamie’s two seasons at Montrose, he played for Arbroath, Brechin City and Peterhead which culminates in a decade of experience playing at SPFL level.
Jamie will certainly provide the management with another great addition to the squad as the club enter the SPFL for the first time in our history.
Co-Manager John Sheran has chased Jamie previously and is delighted to have finally got his man, his first new signing of the pre-season.
“Jamie is a very experienced SPFL player and is a proven winner who will help us with our transition into League 2. “ said John.
”He knows the club well having been a Cove Rangers youth player and he has played with lots of the current squad in the past and will improve our overall squad strength”.
Everyone at the club wishes Jamie the very best of luck.
Jamie’s arrival at Balmoral Stadium comes on the back of experienced duo Alan Redford and Martin ‘Jimmy’ Scott signing new contracts with Cove
