RYAN STRACHAN JOINS COVE RANGERS FROM THE BLUE TOON

Cove Rangers FC are delighted to announce the arrival of Ryan Strachan from Peterhead FC on a 3-year deal. Ryan is certainly a player with a great pedigree having started his career at Aberdeen before moving to Celtic and then eventually signing for Peterhead in 2009.

After the disappointment of being released by Aberdeen, Ryan made a solid start to his Celtic career but his progress was derailed early on by a broken foot he sustained in September 2008 in his reserve team debut against Motherwell. Ryan did eventually recover his place but in 2009, departed Celtic where after a trial with Ayr, he then signed for Peterhead FC.

Ryan arrived at Peterhead FC as a defender but has eventually found himself playing in midfield. In his former years, Ryan won the SPLs 'rising star' award in 2008 and has also had caps for Scotland at various youth levels up to U19s.

Ryan will certainly add to the quality and depth of the squad as the club look to challenge for honours again this coming season.
