ST JOHNSTONE STRIKER JOHN JOINS ON LOAN AS BIG KICK-OFF LOOMS
COVE Rangers are delighted to confirm the loan signing of St Johnstone striker John Robertson.
The Premiership club have agreed to allow John, 17, to come on loan to Balmoral Stadium for our first campaign in the SPFL.
He goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s League Two opener against Edinburgh City at Balmoral.
Cove Rangers manager Paul Hartley said: “I would like to thank St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright for allowing John to join us on loan.
“He has just signed a new contract with St Johnstone and is a player who is highly thought of by them so I’m really looking forward to working with him.
“John is a goal scorer who will give us extra competition up front, particularly on the left side.
“I’m sure he will do well for us and that the spell with Cove Rangers will also help John develop as a player.”
John was a youth team player with Hearts until he moved to St Johnstone in 2017.
He made his first team debut for the Perth club, at the age of just 16, in a Premiership clash against Dundee in April 2018.
Everyone at Cove Rangers would like to wish John well during his time with the club.
