Stuart Duff moves to Inverurie Locos

11/01/2017

Cove Rangers would like to announce the departure of experienced midfielder Stuart Duff to Inverurie Locos. Ironically, Stuart made his Highland League debut against Locos at Harlaw Park in a classic 5-4 Cove victory in October 2014. Stuart had not played football for a period of time prior to joining Cove but it's fair to say his influence on his debut was very impressive and certainly more than expected by everyone at the club. Once Stuart regained match fitness, his ability to control and influence games was evident for all to see. Stuart's successes at the club were most definitely a man of the match performance against Wick Academy in the Highland League Cup final during April 2015 where Cove emerged with a 4-0 victory. This was followed by a Highland League title win during season 2015/16.

The club would like to place on record it's sincere thanks to Stuart for his time at the club. He is the consummate professional who will certainly add some quality and experience to the Locos squad. Stuart joins Locos where he's very familiar to the management team of Neil Cooper and Darren Mackie as all three have previous Aberdeen FC connections.
