CHANGE TO HOME KIT 2020/21
Regrettably due to circumstances out with our control we have been informed by our partners at Greaves Sports that Adidas have decided to cancel the production of the shirt chosen for our new Home Kit 2020/21. The explanation that we have been provided with is that the shirt was being produced to coincide with the European Championships, therefore with the tournament now being played in 2021 due to COVID-19, the shirt will only become available then.
As a result of this we have had to act quickly and have been working with Greaves Sports to find a suitable replacement. We are delighted to share with you the new ‘new’ Home Kit for 2020/21. The shirt is a custom made design which projects a modern, clean look, similar to the original design. The shirt also retains the trademark ‘Three Stripes’ down the side of the shirt with a slightly thicker band of tonal blue across the front of the shirt.
Miller Greaves, director of Greaves Sports said: “Unfortunately this is a decision which came out of the blue and we had no prior knowledge from Adidas around the decision to cancel production of the shirt. We can only apologise to Cove Rangers and their supporters for any inconvenience that this may cause. I have been working closely with the club on finding a suitable alternative and I believe we have landed on another striking design which Cove Rangers supporters can be proud of.”
Cove director, Grant Moorhouse said: “When we were informed of the decision by Greaves Sports it came as a real shock, however we are again thankful to Miller and his team for their work in helping us act quickly to produce a bespoke shirt which we will have ahead of the forthcoming season.”
As a result of this change, for all supporters who have placed a pre-order, we will write to you to confirm if you would like to continue with your order or be fully refunded.
The new ‘new’ Home Kit 2020/21 is available to order with current delivery estimated for mid-August to supporters.
